Accounting Specialist

About the role

Diageo is seeking an Accounting Specialist to ensure accurate and timely expense accounting processes in compliance with legislation, company policies, and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify vendor invoices, expense documents, import invoices, and service invoices in SAP.
• Monitor vendor accounts, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, accruals and perform reconciliations.
• Participate in month‑end and year‑end closing activities, preparing required accounting entries.
• Manage import‑related accounting, including customs duties, freight and handling charges.
• Perform accounting, reconciliation and reporting for transactions with group companies and third parties.
• Prepare documentation for tax returns and statutory filings.
• Handle fixed assets, prepaid expenses, expense accruals and corporate credit‑card accounting.
• Support internal and external audits and contribute to process digitalisation and automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
• Good knowledge of Turkish Uniform Chart of Accounts, tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP.
