Banking & Finance Legal Manager

About the role

A consultancy firm serving a leading conglomerate in the mining, energy and port sectors is looking for a qualified legal professional to join its financing and corporate law processes. The role covers structured finance, short-term loans and intercompany financing, and supports M&A, tax and project finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end processes of structured finance projects.
• Manage the legal operations of short-term loans and intercompany financing.
• Draft, review, negotiate and track loan and security documentation, including general credit agreements.
• Provide legal support to M&A, Tax and Project Finance teams during mergers and acquisitions.
• Research law firms for external legal support, request and analyse proposals and coordinate with specialised lawyers.
• Track general agreements and ensure internal legal coordination within the team.

Required profile

• Law degree from a university.
• At least 8 years of post-qualification experience in banking and finance law.
• Active role in M&A projects in the mining, energy or logistics sectors.
• Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of another language preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and ability to manage several projects at once.

Required skills

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements in English.
• Deep understanding of the commercial and operational dynamics of large-scale industrial projects.
