Compliance Manager – Turkey

About the role

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to lead our local compliance framework in Turkey. The role ensures adherence to regulatory, financial crime prevention, and consumer protection requirements while working closely with global and local teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Turkey compliance programme, aligning with global policies and AML/sanctions standards.
• Conduct merchant due diligence (KYB), ongoing monitoring, and escalation of suspicious activities.
• Review merchant activities for compliance with Turkish consumer protection and e‑commerce regulations.
• Monitor refund, chargeback, dispute and transaction patterns to detect fraud risks.
• Maintain a compliance obligations tracker and ensure timely fulfilment of regulatory requirements.
• Act as primary contact for licensed PSPs, banking partners and regulators, including the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of compliance experience in a Turkish payment institution or similar regulated environment.
• Fluent Turkish and strong English communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with international teams.

Required skills

• Hands‑on AML/KYC and KYB processes.
• Merchant onboarding and transaction monitoring.
• Fraud prevention and risk assessment.
• In‑depth knowledge of Turkey’s payment services regulatory framework and CBRT regulations.
