Medical Auditor (Remote)

About the role

This contract role involves reviewing pediatric inpatient medical records to support AI training and improve data quality. The work is fully remote with flexible weekly hours.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical records, including FHIR data and clinical notes, for AI training.
• Verify that clinical information and claims are supported by the medical record.
• Assess inpatient pediatric documentation such as HPI, PMH, birth and developmental history, immunization status, assessments, and plans.
• Identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent information, including weight‑based dosing and age‑appropriate details.
• Provide feedback to improve AI models and data quality.
• Communicate findings clearly with the project team.

Required profile

• MD or DO, board certified in Pediatrics (or Pediatrics with a Pediatric Hospital Medicine subspecialty certification).
• Strong understanding of inpatient documentation and hospital workflows.
• Experience reviewing clinical notes and raw medical record data.
• Relevant experience in chart review, clinical documentation improvement, utilization review, or medical coding/QA is a plus.

Required skills

• Familiarity with FHIR data formats.
• Ability to assess clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
