Senior Power Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

About the role

FEV Türkiye is looking for a Senior/Lead Power Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to join its Electrification Department. You will work on advanced automotive power electronics and control hardware from concept through production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop automotive power electronics products such as inverters, on‑board chargers and DC‑DC converters.
• Define system‑level and hardware‑level architectures for power stage, control stage, sensing, communication, power supply and protection circuits.
• Perform schematic design, component selection, BOM creation and design reviews.
• Support PCB layout optimisation, EMC/EMI mitigation, thermal management and high‑voltage safety.
• Conduct worst‑case simulations, component derating, loss analyses and safety assessments (ISO 26262, DFMEA/FMEDA).
• Lead technical design reviews, mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (Master’s/PhD is a plus).
• Strong experience in power‑electronics hardware design for automotive 400 V/800 V systems.
• Proven ability to lead technical reviews and guide a hardware team.
• Good English communication skills and willingness to travel abroad.

Required skills

• Power semiconductors: MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, GaN.
• High‑frequency power electronics, converter topologies, gate‑driver circuits.
• PCB design (≥4‑layer), Altium Designer or Cadence.
• Circuit simulation: LTspice, PSpice, MATLAB/Simulink.
• Automotive MCUs (e.g., Infineon AURIX TC3xx) and ISO 26262 safety knowledge.
• EMC/EMI design principles, DFMEA/FMEDA, worst‑case circuit analysis.
