SHE & Site Security Officer

About the role

We are seeking a SHE & Site Security Officer to lead the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) and security agenda for Roche Diagnostics. The role reports to senior management and ensures a safe, compliant workplace for all employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of SHE management systems, including documentation, goals, audits, CAPA, training, communication and incident management.
• Provide SHE and site-security guidance to the General Manager and Leadership Team.
• Ensure compliance with local legal SHE legislation, Roche group directives and security policies (K19).
• Conduct risk assessments, periodic SHE and security inspections, and report critical situations to the CSO.
• Monitor and report SHE KPIs, trends and progress toward targets.
• Deliver onboarding and regular SHE/SS training for new hires and all staff.
• Manage occupational health activities, including medical checks and coordination with People & Culture.
• Support Business Continuity Management, emergency response and pandemic planning.
• Handle security incidents, investigations and liaison with law‑enforcement authorities.
• Coordinate financial provisions for legacy health and environmental liabilities with finance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading SHE and site-security programs in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of local SHE regulations and Roche group safety directives.
• Ability to develop and maintain management systems, conduct audits and drive corrective actions.
• Excellent communication skills to convey requirements across the site and with external authorities.
• Experience in risk management, emergency response and business continuity processes.
