Communications Intern (Ankara, Turkey)

About the role

Under the direct supervision of the Communications Analyst, the intern will support visibility and communications activities of UNFPA Turkey, creating visual and written content for the website and social media platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in visibility and communication activities of development and humanitarian programmes.
• Develop audiovisual and written content in Turkish and English.
• Produce and edit videos with subtitles.
• Create and design social media assets such as infographics and quote cards.
• Write captions for social media and website in both languages.
• Post prepared content on UNFPA Turkey social media accounts.
• Translate and edit web articles, stories, and press releases.
• Maintain digital asset management system and media lists.
• Support the communications team during physical and online events.
• Prepare donor‑requested reports and perform other relevant tasks.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or master’s programme (or equivalent professional trainee programme).
• Expressed interest in communications and demonstrable experience in graphic design, video editing, and social media.
• Written and spoken proficiency in English.
• Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment and work with diverse colleagues.
