Doctor's Assistant & Field Coordinator (English + Turkish)

About the role

Join an international plastic and reconstructive surgery practice in Istanbul, supporting Dr. Ömer Faruk Koçak and ensuring a seamless experience for English‑speaking patients from admission to discharge. This is a hands‑on, on‑site position that blends patient care, administrative coordination, and theatre support.

Key responsibilities

• Greet international patients, manage hospital admission and discharge processes.
• Prepare discharge summaries (epikriz) and prescriptions.
• Plan theatre schedules, maintain the surgery calendar and coordinate with hospital staff.
• Assist Dr. Koçak in the operating theatre (outside the sterile field) by handling supplies, documentation and liaising with the theatre team.
• Take, organise and archive patient photographs.
• Collect consent and KVKK forms, ensuring accurate patient records.
• Guide patients through pre‑op and post‑op pathways.
• Order surgical supplies (implants, compression garments) and handle invoicing.
• Communicate with patients in English and with the hospital and suppliers in Turkish.

Required profile

• Fluent English (spoken and written) – daily patient interaction.
• Fluent Turkish, comfortable with medical documentation and hospital correspondence.
• Excellent customer‑service mindset; patient experience is the top priority.
• Organised, calm under pressure and able to follow tasks through without constant supervision.
• Based on the European side of Istanbul with flexibility for early admissions on surgery days.
• No prior experience required – training will be provided.
