Engineering Technical Specialist – Elevator Modernization

About the role

The Engineering Technical Specialist will lead the technical design and estimation of elevator modernization projects, turning site survey data into feasible, compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review site survey reports, measurements, photographs and technical findings.
• Assess existing elevator conditions and define modernization solutions.
• Prepare and revise mechanical/electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop layout, component arrangement, shaft plans and technical details.
• Perform technical calculations ensuring compliance with standards.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, material requirements and pricing studies.
• Define project scope, technical documentation and bills of quantities.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Installation and Field teams.
• Provide technical support during proposal and tender preparation.
• Ensure designs meet elevator regulations, company procedures and safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in elevator modernization, technical design or estimation.
• Strong knowledge of EN 81-20 and EN 81-50 standards.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Preferably holding a relevant SMM Certificate.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of EN 81-20 and EN 81-50 elevator safety regulations.
• Experience with cost estimation, budgeting and material take‑offs.
