National Project Officer – Enterprise Development & Trade Readiness

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a National Project Officer to lead enterprise development and trade‑readiness activities in Turkey. Reporting to the Senior Programme Coordinator and the Project Officer for Labour Market Integration, the incumbent will coordinate cross‑border trade projects and ensure alignment with IOM policies and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate overall project implementation, overseeing financial, administrative and technical components in line with IOM and donor guidelines.
• Provide operational guidance and technical supervision to project staff, shaping programmatic strategy and monitoring progress.
• Support monitoring and evaluation by establishing a common M&E framework and coordinating regular reporting.
• Identify priority areas for new project development, conduct background research and assess local contexts for proposals.
• Supervise project staff, consultants and implementing partners, and deliver capacity‑building activities for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with monitoring requirements and maintain liaison with government entities and partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing development‑oriented projects, preferably in migration or trade sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities for working with government and NGOs.
• Familiarity with IOM policies, donor regulations and cross‑border trade initiatives.
