Payroll Consultant

About the role

Kolay, an HR SaaS startup founded in 2015 and used by more than 2,200 companies and 240,000 employees worldwide, is hiring a Payroll Consultant in Istanbul. The consultant performs payroll calculations and related procedures for client companies under consultancy responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly payroll accrual calculations for client companies in a complete, accurate and legally compliant way
• Calculate salaries, premiums and other fringe benefits and execute payments
• Carry out severance calculations and ensure they are processed in full
• Manage and complete employee onboarding and offboarding procedures, and handle official correspondence with government institutions when required
• Prepare accounting reports
• Review SGK (Social Security Institution) incentives and process them appropriately
• Prepare Withholding and Premium Service Declarations and manage their approval processes
• Complete workplace accident reports, e-Vizite (electronic medical leave) approvals and other İŞKUR reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in consulting
• Experience in payroll calculations, employer costs and accrual processes
• Experience reviewing and approving Withholding and Premium Service Declarations and handling procedures with official/government institutions
• Able to calculate severance, mediation and reinstatement amounts
• Keeps up with new legislative updates
• Analytical thinker with strong follow-up skills, team player with a solution-oriented mindset

Required skills

• Strong command of Labor Law No. 4857 and Social Insurance and General Health Insurance Law No. 5510
• Payroll calculations and accrual processes
