Procurement Engineer - Infrastructure Projects

About the role

A Procurement Engineer is sought to join a team in Istanbul, managing procurement for infrastructure and large-scale construction projects such as roads, bridges and viaducts. The role covers sourcing materials, equipment and services, coordinating with project teams, managing supplier relationships and keeping procurement cost-effective and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of materials, equipment and services for infrastructure, road, bridge and viaduct projects
• Work with project teams to identify requirements and review technical specifications and material needs
• Find and evaluate local and international suppliers, obtain quotations and carry out technical and commercial evaluations
• Develop alternative supplier sources to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply
• Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, payment terms and contractual conditions
• Prepare purchase orders, monitor procurement and ensure timely delivery
• Analyse costs against project budgets and find cost-saving opportunities
• Evaluate supplier performance and help improve procurement processes
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards and project requirements, and prepare procurement reports and records

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or a related field
• At least 3 years of procurement experience in infrastructure, road, bridge, viaduct or large-scale construction projects
• Experience sourcing construction materials, steel structures, mechanical equipment and negotiating with suppliers
• Willingness to work in Istanbul and good command of English
