Project Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate to support its Return and Reintegration Programme in Turkey. Working under the supervision of the National Programme Officer and the Senior Project Associate, the incumbent will contribute to the orderly and humane return of migrants.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative, financial and logistical support to the Return and Reintegration Programme.
• Liaise with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and diplomatic missions involved in voluntary return processes.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, data analysis and documentation related to programme activities.
• Support the coordination of project activities and ensure compliance with IOM policies and national regulations.

Required profile

• School diploma with at least five years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Political/Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields with three years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in liaising with governmental bodies, international organisations and NGOs.
• Experience in supporting project implementation, including administrative and logistical tasks.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Good computer literacy; prior experience in an international humanitarian setting is an advantage.
