Software Engineer - Python and Kubernetes

About the role

This remote position is for a Software Engineer focused on Python and Kubernetes, building open‑source operations software that simplifies complex workloads across public clouds and private infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python‑based open‑source operations software for reliable, scalable workloads on Kubernetes.
• Work across the Linux stack—including kernel, networking, storage, virtualization, containers, and applications—to improve automation and operational efficiency.
• Build and enhance monitoring and alerting infrastructure to support production reliability.
• Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams using agile methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or related field.
• Strong professional experience developing software with Python and a passion for solving technically challenging problems.
• Hands‑on Linux systems administration and production operations experience.
• Interest in distributed systems and open‑source software.
