Sport Programs Director

About the role

Digiturk is seeking a senior leader to shape and execute its sports content strategy across all platforms. The Sport Programs Director will drive programming, production and digital initiatives, ensuring high‑impact sports experiences for audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the overall sports content and programming strategy aligned with editorial priorities, rights agreements and business goals.
• Oversee program planning, scheduling and prime‑time optimization to maximize viewership and engagement.
• Coordinate timely, high‑quality delivery of live sports events, leagues and international competitions.
• Develop innovative sports formats, shows and concepts that respond to evolving audience behavior.
• Lead digital and social content strategies to expand reach and strengthen brand presence.
• Manage on‑screen talent strategy, ensuring alignment with brand tone and editorial standards.
• Monitor audience insights, ratings and analytics to continuously improve content performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 15–20 years of progressive experience in sports broadcasting, content production or media leadership.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale, multi‑platform sports operations.
• Extensive experience managing senior, cross‑functional teams.
• Deep knowledge of local and international sports media ecosystems and rights‑driven environments.
• Executive‑level leadership with vision‑setting and transformation capabilities.
• Strong strategic thinking in fast‑paced live‑content settings.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
