Tax / Accounting, Compliance and Reporting Intern or Assistant (Ankara)

About the role

EY is looking for an Intern or Assistant to join its Accounting Compliance and Reporting (ACR) team in Ankara. The ACR practice serves clients in comprehensive outsourcing, accounting and finance, functional outsourcing, accounting assistance and consultancy, including software implementation support and reporting according to international accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and review daily accounting transactions of clients
• Carry out month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain reconciliations with related and third parties
• Prepare tax returns and other compliance requirements
• Coordinate with shared service centers and clients' tax teams abroad, and with clients' tax offices
• Follow legislative changes and implement them where applicable
• Coordinate with other sub-service lines of the EY Tax team and supervise the engagement team

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in Accounting and Finance or Business Administration
• Experience in general accounting for 1-3 years
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Proven ability to act as an originator and team player, and to work flexible hours

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Uniform Chart of Accounts
• Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with reporting experience
• Knowledge of e-applications such as e-invoice and e-ledger
• Knowledge of MS NAV, SAP and Oracle accounting systems is preferable
