Group Sales & Events Assistant Manager

About the role

The Group Sales & Events Assistant Manager supports the Director of Sales in driving catering, banquet and group bookings for the hotel. This position manages residential group requests, corporate accounts and travel agency relationships while working to achieve revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Solicit new and existing customers, schedule appointments and conduct sales calls, telemarketing and site inspections.
• Negotiate contracts and prepare offers for catering and group business.
• Monitor sales results, propose corrective actions and track competitor activities.
• Entertain client decision‑makers in F&B outlets and participate in promotional events.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date customer database in OPERA, reporting sales calls and activities.
• Assist in preparing sales action plans, developing special packages and promotional programmes.
• Participate in sales training, trade fairs, sales blitzes and familiarisation trips as assigned.

Required profile

• Proven ability to develop new business and maintain strong client relationships.
• Experience negotiating contracts and achieving revenue targets.
• Strong communication skills for phone, email and face‑to‑face interactions.
• Ability to analyse market data, competitor activity and industry trends.

• OPERA – hotel property management system for managing customer data and sales activities.
