Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

AppNation is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the cloud infrastructure that powers its AI‑driven mobile applications used by millions worldwide. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to build reliable, secure, and cost‑efficient systems on Google Cloud Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, operate, and scale GCP infrastructure for mobile apps, backend services, and AI features.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform across development, staging, and production environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build) with automated testing and rollback capabilities.
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads on GKE, Cloud Run, ensuring high availability and autoscaling.
• Enhance observability with metrics, logs, tracing, and alerts; define service reliability targets.
• Lead incident investigations, document root causes, and drive preventive improvements.
• Improve cloud security through least‑privilege IAM, secrets management, network controls, and vulnerability remediation.
• Optimize cloud spend via capacity planning, right‑sizing, and cost analysis.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong production experience with Google Cloud Platform services (compute, networking, IAM, storage, managed databases).
• Proven track record building infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), and container orchestration.
• Solid Linux and networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP/TLS, load balancing, VPC, firewalls).
