Senior Logistics Specialist

About the role

As a Senior Logistics Specialist you will lead end‑to‑end import and export operations, ensuring full compliance with customs regulations and corporate policies. You will also manage product registration and tracking within the Ministry of Health ÜTS platform, supporting the medical device supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Manage import and export workflows, overseeing customs clearance, duty calculations, tax assessments and vendor invoice reconciliation.
• Coordinate domestic and international freight across road, ocean, air and multimodal modes, optimizing routes, rates and delivery times.
• Direct product registrations, notifications and document submissions in the Ministry of Health ÜTS system.
• Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers and 3PL providers.
• Prepare and audit shipping documents such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, Bills of Lading and regulatory permits.
• Track logistics KPIs, identify bottlenecks and drive continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in international logistics, customs clearance and import/export operations.
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English for cross‑border communication.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP or JD Edwards).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, customs duty structures and payment terms (L/C, CAD).
