Floor Supervisor - Housekeeping

About the role

The Floor Supervisor at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center reports to the Executive Housekeeper and ensures that the floors and rooms under their responsibility meet cleanliness, order and hygiene standards. The role also involves planning, coordinating and monitoring the performance of the Maid and Houseman teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and follow up on the daily operations of the assigned floors, assigning daily duties to Maid and Houseman staff and distributing the workload fairly.
• Ensure rooms are cleaned on time to the defined standards, and check daily check-out and occupied rooms, as well as service corridors, linen areas and housekeeping equipment.
• Report missing, defective or replacement-needed equipment and materials to the relevant managers.
• Plan periodic room cleaning, check that supplies and consumables are used correctly, and ensure cleaning equipment is used safely and correctly.
• Provide on-site guidance to Maid personnel on cleaning methods and support the Executive Housekeeper during inventory activities.
• Monitor staff performance, ensure compliance with grooming and appearance standards, and train staff on reporting, Lost & Found procedures and handover processes.
• Keep departmental training going and communicate new practices to the team.

Required profile

• Preferably graduated from Tourism, Hospitality, Accommodation or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Floor Supervisor in Housekeeping.
• Experience managing Maid and Houseman teams, work allocation and operational follow-up.
• Knowledge of room cleaning, hygiene standards, hotel quality standards and daily operational records.
• Guest satisfaction and service quality oriented, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
