ICT Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an ICT Associate to support its Ankara Office and annex. The incumbent will coordinate the information technology component of all IOM operations in Turkey, ensuring reliable and secure IT services for staff and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the ICT infrastructure for the Ankara Office and its annex, including network, server and user support.
• Maintain LAN/WAN connectivity, VPN and VOIP services across multiple sites.
• Administer Windows Server environments, backup solutions and antivirus tools.
• Implement and monitor IT security measures, including BSAFE and information‑security awareness training.
• Provide first‑line technical troubleshooting and resolve hardware/software issues.
• Collaborate with the Senior Resource Management Officer and the National ICT Officer on IT projects and upgrades.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with at least three years of relevant experience, or a high‑school diploma with five years of experience.
• Minimum one year of experience in a networking environment (LAN/WAN).
• Fluency in English and Turkish (oral and written).
• Knowledge of IP, VPN, VOIP and LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Training in BSAFE and Information Security Awareness; ITIL Foundation or PRINCE2 is an advantage.
