Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

Cimri is seeking an enthusiastic Machine Learning Engineer/Data Scientist to join its dynamic, fully distributed team. You will develop high‑throughput, low‑latency ML systems that serve millions of users daily, operating within a microservice architecture on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise large‑scale machine learning solutions.
• Design, implement and maintain FastAPI‑based ML services and REST APIs for production.
• Enhance NLP systems for product matching, deduplication and entity resolution using BERT, Sentence‑Transformers, etc.
• Improve visual transformer‑based image search and deduplication with OpenCV, CLIP and Milvus.
• Monitor model performance via the ELK stack and take corrective actions.
• Clean, preprocess and analyse large datasets to extract insights.
• Design and conduct experiments to evaluate and optimise ML models.
• Contribute to R&D projects, technical documentation and architecture reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning or Data Science.
• Proven experience building NLP solutions for product matching, classification, search or recommendation.
• Strong foundation in computer science and statistics.
• Experience with MLOps, feature stores and model serving design.
