Mechanical Technician – Facility Maintenance

About the role

As a Mechanical Technician at CBRE you will be responsible for the ongoing upkeep of building mechanical, electrical and other installed systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to work orders and ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine preventive maintenance on facility mechanical, electrical and related building systems.
• Assist with modifications and upgrades to building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders, estimate required time and materials, and track completion using internal systems.
• Support energy‑management initiatives by ensuring systems run at optimal efficiency.
• Maintain inventory of parts, tools and supplies needed for work orders.
• Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED or trade school certificate (1‑2 years related experience preferred).
• Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb ladders and lift loads of 50 lb or more.
• Ability to follow established work routines and procedures under supervision.
• Basic communication skills for straightforward information exchange.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
