About the role

Forbes Advisor is seeking a Principal Designer to lead growth design across its paid acquisition funnels. Reporting to the Head of Design, you will partner with Paid Media, Growth, Editorial, and Engineering to create end‑to‑end conversion experiences that move real money.

Key responsibilities

• Architect paid acquisition funnels from click to conversion, including advertorials, pre‑landers, quizzes, calculators, and qualification flows.
• Develop multiple funnel variants per vertical, tailoring copy and design to distinct audience personas.
• Design interactive tools with branching logic and state, leveraging AI for rapid prototyping.
• Apply CRO mechanics as a design discipline, creating micro‑commitments, loading screens, exit‑intent, and progressive capture.
• Run hypothesis‑driven experiments, building template and component systems for high‑volume persona and funnel variations.
• Mentor designers on funnel thinking, persona design, and experimentation, and help shape hiring as the function scales.

Required profile

• 10+ years of growth, performance funnel, or direct‑response design experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating measurable conversion impact (CVR, CAC, revenue).
• Proven ability to design complete funnels end‑to‑end and articulate persona‑specific logic.
• Strong editorial sensibility and ability to write compelling headlines when needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of pitching and defending decisions with data.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Figma.
• Experience with a prototyping tool (e.g., Cursor).
• AI‑native workflow for production acceleration.
• Familiarity with analytics and testing stacks such as GA4, Clarity, Tableau, or Optimizely.
• Strong web design fundamentals: layout, typography, hierarchy, information design.
