Sales & Operations Planning and Site Logistics Manager

About the role

The Sales & Operations Planning and Site Logistics Manager will lead the S&OP process for BASF's Personal Care Business Unit in Turkey and oversee site logistics operations at the Çayırova production site. The role ensures alignment of demand, supply, inventory and business objectives while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end S&OP process, coordinating demand and supply plans.
• Manage site logistics, material flow and inventory to meet production targets.
• Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration between Sales, Operations, Customer Service and Finance.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and coach a diverse team to achieve high performance and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, S&OP, demand or supply planning, materials management or logistics operations.
• Proven people‑leadership experience with team development and performance management.
• Fluent in Turkish and English, both written and spoken.
• Residence in Istanbul (Asian side) or Kocaeli.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP APO or comparable planning systems (e.g., OMP).
• Advanced analytical skills using Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Power BI for reporting and visualization.
