Senior Backend Developer (Node.js)

About the role

Mobiversite is looking for a Senior Backend Developer with deep expertise in Node.js to build and maintain high‑volume services that power mobile and web applications used by millions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend systems using Node.js and modern frameworks.
• Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to integrate user‑facing elements with server‑side logic.
• Build, maintain, and optimise RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Ensure high performance, availability, and scalability of applications.
• Design and manage database schemas for both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and debug backend systems to guarantee smooth operation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience developing backend systems with Node.js.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Node.js, Express.js
• REST API design and development
• PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud infrastructure
• JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming patterns
• Object‑oriented programming, clean code and design patterns
