Senior IP & Grants Compliance Associate

About the role

The Senior IP & Grants Compliance Associate provides essential administrative and financial support to programmes implemented through IOM’s implementing partners and grant recipient entities. Working under the overall supervision of the Senior Resources Management Officer and directly reporting to the National IP & Grants Compliance Officer, the role ensures that all grant activities comply with IOM’s financial rules and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, monitoring and reporting of grant‑related financial documents.
• Coordinate with implementing partners and grant recipients to ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data.
• Support the compliance team in reviewing grant agreements and donor reporting obligations.
• Maintain organized records of grant transactions and related paperwork.
• Provide routine administrative assistance to the resources management unit.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least six years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field with four years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with SAP is a distinct advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, discretion and a client‑oriented attitude.
• Previous experience in an international humanitarian, non‑governmental or governmental organization in a multicultural setting is preferred.

• Knowledge of financial rules, grant compliance procedures and donor reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and documentation review abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing paperwork methodically.
