Accountant – Financial Operations

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Accountant to manage financial processes and improve accounting efficiency at IKA Works Turkey.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions of IKA Works Turkey.
• Check, verify and post incoming invoices and categorize records in SAP.
• Administrate travel and other expenses.
• Prepare payments and reconcile bank statements.
• Handle dunning procedure, including contacting customers for overdue payments and generating reminders.
• Perform account and intercompany reconciliations.
• Handle month‑end and year‑end closures and provide timely financial reports such as P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow.
• Prepare the annual budget reporting in collaboration with the Managing Director.
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns (e.g., VAT) – optional.
• Maintain close contact with local tax advisors and other business partners.

Required profile

• Work experience as an Accountant in industry.
• Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
• MS Excel skills.
• Optional experience with accounting software SAP‑FI.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational and analytical abilities.
• Confidentiality and integrity.
• Very good English skills.
