Accountant II – Corporate Finance

About the role

The Accountant II is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records. This role supports month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, prepares journal entries, and assists with internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly journal entries, including expense accruals, amortizations, and cost allocations.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations for multiple legal entities and explain unusual balances.
• Assist auditors by providing schedules, explanations, and supporting documentation for significant account fluctuations.
• Generate and review intercompany invoices and ensure proper accounting of intercompany transactions.
• Allocate corporate charges such as insurance and royalties.
• Support the Accounting Manager in reviewing month‑end income statements for domestic operational units.
• Coordinate with Operations and G&A teams to gather necessary accounting data for both domestic and international locations.
• Provide explanations for monthly expense variances to operational units.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
• Minimum three years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
