Accounting Controller

About the role

The Accounting Controller will be responsible for the quality and compliance of the balance sheet and income statement for the assigned legal entity. This role works closely with Business Navigators, FP&A, functional controllers, tax and external partners to ensure accurate reporting and statutory compliance. The position also leads tax filings, audit coordination and treasury activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and review balance sheet and profit & loss statements to ensure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAP and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate monthly reporting, statutory audit, tax compliance (direct and indirect) and relationships with tax authorities.
• Drive standardisation of retained accounting processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage banking relationships, cash‑flow, treasury policies and payroll controls for Turkey and Central Asia.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting and a valid CPA or equivalent certification.
• In‑depth knowledge of R2R, I2P, I2C, tax processes, IFRS, US GAAP, SOX compliance.
• Strong leadership and ability to work under tight month‑end deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Proficiency in HFM and Merlin reporting tools.
