Accounting & Tax Assistant Manager

About the role

This senior position is responsible for end‑to‑end accounting, tax compliance and regulatory reporting within a multinational environment. The role combines hands‑on execution with strategic business partnering for senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day accounting operations, lead monthly/quarterly/annual closings and perform deep‑dive analyses on account balances.
• Manage preparation, review and submission of all local tax filings (VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax) and periodic regulatory reports.
• Lead external financial and tax audits, optimise outsourced accounting processes and enforce internal controls.
• Provide strategic accounting and tax advice to senior management and consolidate complex updates into concise management reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in accounting, tax and statutory reporting, preferably in international trading or multinational organisations.
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to explain complex Turkish tax and accounting matters to non‑local stakeholders.
• CPA / SMMM qualification is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in SAP (or similar major ERP system).
• Deep knowledge of Turkish tax legislation and statutory accounting principles.
