Air Import Operations Specialist

About the role

WELD is seeking an Air Import Operations Specialist to manage end‑to‑end air import activities. The role ensures shipments are coordinated from pick‑up to final delivery, complying with Incoterms, customer requirements and internal procedures. You will work closely with overseas agents, airlines, warehouses and internal teams to guarantee smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with overseas agents and coordinate import operations.
• Prepare and follow up on shipping orders, bill of lading instructions and shipment schedules.
• Monitor departure, transit and arrival of shipments daily.
• Verify reservations with airlines and review pre‑alert documents.
• Create and maintain shipment files, revenue and cost records.
• Coordinate consolidation plans and keep customers informed of status.
• Issue arrival notices, freight invoices and follow up on payments.
• Process supplier and agent cost invoices and ensure accurate e‑invoice integration.
• Arrange door‑to‑door deliveries with customs brokers and transportation suppliers.
• Manage loss, damage or delay cases with airlines, insurers and agents.
• Report operational issues promptly and prepare operational reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Associate or Master’s degree.
• 2–4 years of experience in air cargo, logistics or international transportation and 3–5 years of overall professional experience.
• English proficiency at B2 level.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commercial awareness and high business ethics.
