Application Engineer - Trading Goods

About the role

As an Application Engineer for Trading Goods, you will translate customer requirements into technical solutions, support product qualification, and drive continuous improvement of HVAC products in line with Vaillant Group standards.

Key responsibilities

• Convert customer use cases into functional analyses and technical specifications for Trading Goods products.
• Define and execute verification and validation plans, conduct FMEA, and coordinate testing, certification, and product launch.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams (Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technical Documentation) to ensure successful series launch.
• Lead technical problem‑solving and sustain engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in product or technology development, preferably in the HVAC industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC norms, standards, and project management.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.

Required skills

• FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
• Product verification and validation methodologies.
