Application Software Development Engineer

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Develop control software based on product and process requirements.
• Discuss and define concepts with internal and external developers.
• Design, document, and implement software—including unit tests—according to defined architecture.
• Implement new features using Simulink, C++, DSL, and Python for pipeline development.
• Release software versions following quality procedures.
• Create automated tests and build features to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with Bosch Home Comfort departments worldwide to align specifications and ensure standards.
• Support continuous improvement of software development processes and methods.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Solid understanding of modern software development techniques and methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with software debugging and testing.
• Strong analytical skills, proactive mindset, and dynamic attitude.
• Experience with Agile development is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
