Assistant Quality Manager – Contract Manufacturing – Foods

About the role

Unilever is seeking an Assistant Quality Manager to lead quality and food safety governance for products manufactured at third‑party and collaborative sites. You will ensure innovation projects are quality‑ready, products are released only when all requirements are met, and partner sites stay compliant through risk‑based audits.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement project‑specific quality plans, procedures, and validation protocols in line with GMP guidelines.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits and root‑cause analyses, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain product quality documentation, including quality control plans, inspection checklists and test procedures.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance.
• Provide updates on quality performance in innovation project meetings and stay current with industry regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Quality Engineer in a factory environment.
• Experience with FSSC, BRC or similar quality management systems.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk assessment strategies.
• Fluent English (oral and written) and ability to travel to manufacturing sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Implementation and maintenance of quality management systems (FSSC, BRC).
