Associate (CPA/SMMM) – Remote Accounting and Tax

About the role

Manay CPA, a global full-service accounting and advisory firm headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is looking for an Associate (CPA/SMMM) to join its fully remote team based in Turkey. The role offers hands-on experience with U.S. GAAP, tax codes and business operations, working with clients across many industries. Work hours are based on U.S. Eastern Time, travel may be required, and applicants should submit an English resume.

Key responsibilities

• Support the onboarding of new clients and set up accounting systems
• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, monthly closings and financial reports and analysis
• Complete accounting, reporting and tax tasks using company software
• Prepare payroll, sales tax returns, depreciation schedules and other accounting documents
• Assist with audits and reconciliations
• Analyze financial data to forecast revenue and evaluate profit margins
• Prepare and file U.S. corporate and individual income tax returns, including 1099s and year-end filings
• Research complex tax and accounting issues and contribute to special projects and financial reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting, audit and/or tax
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent written and spoken Business English; interviews are held in English
• Strong analytical, organizational and multitasking skills, attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures
• CPA (SMMM) license, outsource accounting experience, US GAAP experience and accounting software experience are a big plus
