Job description

About the role

A remote short-term contract for a Senior Software Engineer DevOps, working 20-40 hours per week. The role focuses on building developer automation, CI/CD pipelines and cost and security optimisation on AWS.

Key responsibilities

Develop and support self-service automation tools for developers.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to build, test and deploy applications.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using AWS CloudFormation.
Optimise cloud costs through auto-scaling and down-scaling.
Implement security automation to enforce policies across AWS accounts.
Collaborate with product teams to architect new workloads.

Required profile

Strong relevant experience in AWS infrastructure automation with CloudFormation.
Experience in an Agile development environment.

Required skills

Multiple AWS services: Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, ECS, API Gateway and Kinesis.
Software development in Python or Go.
Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker.
Version control, especially Git.
