Backend Developer Specialist (.NET Core, C#)

About the role

This role is for a Backend Developer Specialist who designs, develops and maintains scalable, high-performance backend and/or frontend applications aligned with business objectives. The position covers the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and design to testing, deployment and maintenance, and involves close collaboration with business analysts, architects, project managers and other development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance backend and/or frontend applications.
• Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, project managers and other teams to deliver effective solutions.
• Take part in architectural design and decision-making to ensure scalability, performance and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews to uphold coding standards and best practices.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, technical risks and system inefficiencies.
• Mentor junior developers through guidance and code reviews.
• Work on DevOps, CI/CD and automation practices to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
• Keep up with emerging technologies, frameworks and design patterns.
• Deliver clean, testable, high-quality code within defined timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in backend software development.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and architectural decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with global, cross-functional teams; fluent in English.

Required skills

• .NET Core, C#, Web API and Entity Framework Core.
• Clean Architecture and Domain Driven Design (DDD).
• MS SQL (required); PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB is a plus.
• Elasticsearch, including indexing, search optimization and performance tuning.
• Redis and distributed systems concepts such as caching, pub/sub and data consistency.
• Microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Azure and/or AWS is an advantage; Git, GitHub or GitLab is required.
• React or Angular is a plus.
