Billing and Collection Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Billing and Collection Manager to lead regional invoicing, credit control and collection activities. The role ensures accurate billing, effective receivables management and close reconciliation with agents and customers in line with finance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage regional invoicing of freight, surcharges, demurrage, storage and door‑to‑door services, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor receivables, ageing and payment terms, following up overdue balances with customers and agents.
• Coordinate credit limits and risk with Commercial and Finance teams.
• Reconcile current accounts with agents and customers across regional markets.
• Resolve invoice disputes in partnership with Commercial, Trade and Operations teams.
• Track and report receivables KPIs such as DSO, overdue ratio and bad‑debt exposure.
• Identify and implement improvements in billing accuracy, collection performance and process efficiency.
• Supervise and develop the regional billing and collection team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Experience in billing, credit control or receivables management, preferably in shipping, liner agency or logistics.
• Knowledge of freight invoicing, demurrage and agency current‑account reconciliation.
• Experience handling multi‑currency and multi‑country receivables.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
