Business Controller (Accountant) – BPS

About the role

Deloitte is looking for a Business Controller (Accountant) to join its Business Process Solutions (BPS) team in the international business partner's office in Ataşehir, Turkey. The role works closely with and assists the Finance and Accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and record general ledger entries in line with the uniform chart of accounts and internal accounting policies.
• Prepare and submit statutory declarations and legal statements to the relevant authorities.
• Manage and reconcile customer current account balances, including periodic group reconciliation.
• Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, withholding tax, stamp tax, corporate income tax).
• Prepare group reporting files according to company and group requirements.
• Monitor compliance with local accounting standards, tax legislation and reporting standards such as IFRS/US GAAP.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics or Accounting/Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Good command of English, written and spoken.
• Experience in an outsourcing firm is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• SAP proficiency.
• Analytical, structured thinking and strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Good communication, teamwork, follow-up and timeliness.
