Business Development Manager - Food Contact Materials & Recycled Plastics

About the role

KÖR is a digital testing platform for recycled PET in food contact materials, helping recyclers, converters and global brands meet regulatory standards. It is looking for a senior domain expert who can turn technical customer needs into commercially valuable solutions across Europe. The role bridges complex regulatory requirements with practical, customer-focused solutions in food contact materials and/or recycled plastics.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical-commercial conversation with customers in food contact materials, packaging, recycled plastics and PET
• Advise customers on compliance pathways, testing strategies, migration testing, declarations of compliance and market-entry readiness
• Partner with business development and leadership teams to shape proposals, solution packages and account strategy
• Translate regulatory pain points into commercial opportunities for KÖR LABS and its laboratory services
• Engage with recyclers, converters, packaging manufacturers, associations, brand owners and laboratories across Europe
• Support high-value sales cycles and represent KÖR at industry events, webinars and conferences
• Monitor regulatory developments and turn them into market messaging; help define service scope and partner-lab requirements

Required profile

• English at professional or near-native level
• Ideally 3-5 years in regulatory affairs, laboratory services, TIC, food contact materials, packaging compliance or recycled plastics
• At least 3 years in enterprise sales, business development, strategic account management or consultative selling
• Experience in testing laboratories, certification, packaging, polymers, recycling or food-contact consultancy preferred
• Ability to explain technical and regulatory topics simply to non-specialists, with strong presentation skills
• Comfortable working in a scale-up, platform or solution-building environment
