Business Development Specialist

About the role

The Business Development Specialist will support the firm’s growth by managing matter intake, coordinating pitches, and handling client communications. This role works closely with partners, the finance team, and lawyers across practice groups.

Key responsibilities

• Manage new matter intake and onboarding, including conflict checks, matter opening, and file set‑up.
• Support preparation of pitch materials, proposals, credentials, and tailored client presentations.
• Coordinate submissions and research for legal directories such as Chambers, Legal 500, and IFLR.
• Plan and deliver events, conferences, and international network activities, handling logistics and follow‑up.
• Maintain and improve CRM data, contact lists, and client/referral tracking.
• Draft and edit newsletters, website content, publications, and social media posts in English and Turkish.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, law, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or communications, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Experience with conflict checks, matter opening, or similar intake and compliance processes.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Turkish with strong editing skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CRM systems (preferred).
