Category Specialist - Purchasing (Metal Process)

About the role

Beko is looking for a Category Specialist - Purchasing (Metal Process) to join its Purchasing Directorate in Istanbul, Turkey. The role works proactively with different business units to source items and services, develop sourcing and negotiation strategies and build sustainable supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with different business units for the requested items or services
• Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that deliver business objectives and build sustainable supplier relationships
• Create competitive environments with suppliers to support the negotiation strategy
• Build relationships and partner cross-functionally with business partners and external suppliers to influence change
• Plan, conduct and finalise all commercial negotiations for project-based purchases
• Follow technology developments closely and propose new cost innovation or efficiency project ideas

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (a Master's degree or Ph.D. is a plus)
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Flexible, open to new perspectives and diversity, and a team player with initiative

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (must)
• Expertise in SAP is a plus
