Commis II – Hotel Kitchen Role

About the role

As a Commis II at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center, you will support food production and presentation across the hotel’s restaurants, bars, room service, banquets and cafés. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure every guest experience meets Hilton’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of food following Hilton’s quality standards and standardized recipes.
• Complete daily mise en place accurately and maintain clean, organized workstations.
• Execute tasks assigned by the Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie, and Sous Chef in a timely manner.
• Support kitchen operations during busy periods, ensuring smooth service across all outlets.
• Follow stock rotation (FIFO), control portion sizes, and help minimise food waste.
• Maintain compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene and health‑and‑safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Commis I, Commis II or in a similar kitchen role.
• Relevant culinary education or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Sound understanding of HACCP and food safety practices.
