Commissioning Electrical Lead

About the role

The Commissioning Electrical Lead will oversee electrical commissioning activities for a large integrated oil & gas development in southern Iraq, coordinating between the Central Processing Facility and well‑pipeline packages. The role starts in December 2026 and runs for 24 months, with a possible 12‑month extension.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate electrical commissioning procedures, check sheets and test plans for both CPF and wells‑and‑pipelines packages.
• Coordinate FATs, electrical testing and system integration with vendors and contractors.
• Supervise on‑site electrical commissioning, ensure compliance with HSE standards and schedule.
• Act as Electrical Isolation Authority for networks above 20 kV, managing isolations and de‑isolations.
• Track progress, manage punch‑list clearance and maintain up‑to‑date commissioning documentation.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with 15+ years of experience in oil & gas commissioning.
• Proven experience with major electrical vendors such as Schneider, ABB and Siemens.
• Strong knowledge of structured commissioning methodologies and completion management software (e.g., ICAPS).
• Fluent English and ability to work with client, contractor and vendor personnel.
