Communications Assistant for Women‑Friendly Cities Programme

About the role

The Communications Assistant will support the visibility and outreach of the Women‑Friendly Cities (WFC) Programme in Turkey. Based in Ankara, the role focuses on graphic design, photography, video production, digital content creation and social‑media management to showcase programme results and EU‑UNFPA cooperation.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the WFC communication and visibility plan in line with UNFPA and EU guidelines.
• Produce high‑quality print, digital and audiovisual materials such as brochures, infographics, short videos and human‑interest stories.
• Maintain and update the WFC website and UNFPA Turkey web platforms, including branding and multimedia content.
• Develop and schedule social‑media content, monitor engagement and contribute to reporting.
• Support event organisation, field missions, press activities and the documentation of best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, social sciences or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in communications.
• Fluent English and native‑level Turkish.

Required skills

• Proficiency with graphic‑design and video‑editing tools (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects).
• Experience in photography, videography and multimedia content production.
• Ability to create social‑media and web content, including infographics and short videos.
• Strong knowledge of office software and corporate IT systems.
