Compliance Data Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail‑oriented Compliance Data Analyst to join our Compliance team. The role blends strong technical data analysis capabilities with a solid understanding of regulatory compliance, AML, KYC and financial crime risk management. You will support risk management activities by turning large data sets into actionable insights for regulatory and internal governance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large volumes of compliance and transactional data to spot trends, anomalies and potential regulatory risks.
• Develop, optimise and maintain complex SQL queries for monitoring and reporting.
• Support AML, KYC, Sanctions and Financial Crime teams through data‑driven analysis and reporting.
• Produce regular and ad‑hoc management reports, dashboards and key risk indicators (KRIs).
• Validate data quality and ensure accuracy, completeness and integrity of compliance‑related information.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes using SQL or other analytical tools.
• Assist regulatory examinations, internal audits and compliance investigations with timely data analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of compliance monitoring frameworks and data‑governance practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in data analytics, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, including complex queries, joins, aggregations and performance optimisation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
