Credits Consultant

About the role

The Credits Consultant develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures for assessing customer credit-worthiness and managing credit lines. The role involves coordinating with internal departments to resolve billing disputes and reviewing bad debt or write‑off recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze credit risks using internet and credit agency tools.
• Recommend and implement credit extensions, revocations, or legal actions as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external credit agencies.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley internal controls and procedures.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing disputes affecting receivables.
• Review and advise on bad debt and write‑off decisions.

Required profile

• Recognized subject‑matter expert with specialized knowledge in credit management.
• Manages large projects or processes with limited oversight.
• Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to junior professionals.
• Solves complex, difficult problems and influences policies and procedures.
• Four‑year college degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of functional experience, including at least 5 years in a similar credit role.
