Cyber Security Assistant Manager

About the role

Karadeniz Holding is seeking a Cyber Security Assistant Manager to join its Information Technology department at the Istanbul headquarters. The role supports the development and execution of cybersecurity strategies across a global energy and shipbuilding organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Assess, strengthen and monitor network security, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention measures.
• Investigate security events, coordinate incident response, and manage threat intelligence activities.
• Lead vulnerability management, penetration testing and remediation efforts.
• Establish and maintain security policies, standards, procedures and awareness training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, MIS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in cyber security.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Required skills

• Network security technologies: firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, load balancers.
• Operating systems: Windows, Linux.
• Core IT services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SMTP.
• Endpoint and data protection: EDR, DLP, antivirus, File Integrity Monitoring.
• Vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, cyber threat intelligence.
• Security monitoring tools: SIEM, SOAR, SOC operations.
• Scripting: Python, PowerShell (advantage).
• Relevant certifications: CEH, CISSP, CISM (preferred).
