Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

PROVEN is looking for a full‑time Cyber Security Specialist to run day‑to‑day security operations for both its own and client environments. The role is based on‑site in Şişli and offers a clear path toward a Security Lead position.

Key responsibilities

• Own daily security operations: monitor alerts, investigate suspicious activity and close incidents.
• Manage firewall and network security on Fortinet and Sophos devices, including policy design, VPN, IPS, segmentation and web filtering.
• Hardening and maintenance of identity and endpoint security on Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Conditional Access, Defender, Intune) and Google Workspace.
• Run vulnerability management: regular scanning, prioritisation, patch follow‑up and verification.
• Lead incident response: containment, root‑cause analysis, reporting and lessons learned.
• Conduct security assessments for new and existing clients and produce improvement plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity operations, network security or security engineering.
• Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting Fortinet and Sophos next‑generation firewalls.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 security features and Google Workspace security controls.
• Experience with endpoint protection (EDR/XDR), log analysis and SIEM tools.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills, with a client‑facing attitude.
